Information stored locally
Active and completed sessions can contain the worker name, site, task, safety notes, emergency-contact name and phone number, check-in interval, timestamps, outcome, and optional GPS coordinates with accuracy. This information is stored in this browser's local storage.
Location handling
SafeSignal requests location only when you test GPS or make a check-in. It does not continuously track the device. A captured fix can be saved in the local session record; GPS may be inaccurate or unavailable.
No current cloud account
The current check-in and dashboard do not upload session history, synchronize workers, or send contact details to a supervisor. The sample team on the dashboard is demonstration data. Any future connected service would require a revised privacy notice before launch.
Browser-storage limits
Local data can be lost when site data is cleared, private browsing ends, the browser removes storage, or the device is damaged. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to view it. Do not treat local storage as a secure archival or monitored safety system.
Removing information
Delete individual completed records from the dashboard, or clear this site's browser data to remove all local SafeSignal information. End or discard an active session before leaving a shared device.
